Freddy Houndekindo is an interdisciplinary artist positioned at the intersection of music, writing, dance and performance. Dancer at Cullberg he joined the ensemble autumn 2018.
His artistic practice is uprooted from street dance: HipHop & Electro. He studied contemporary dance in the Conservatoire National superior de Musique et de Dance de Lyon(France) and modern dance at the Folkwang Universität der Künste in Essen(Germany).
Movement Director and Choreographer in 2020 he is granted the Tanzrecherche NRW to support his artistic research. In 2021 he received the Riksteatern stipendium to further investigate the relationship between film and dance.
His films won several International prizes. His expertise and interest for multimedia lead him to further work with fashion as movement director with client such as Vogue Scandinavia, H&M, WEEKDAY, HOPE, CAP74024,…
