Urban connection: Improvisation with Soul Sweat and Swedish Radio’s Symphony Orchestra

With the Swedish Radio Symphony Orchestra (dir Daniel Harding) and the dance company Soul Sweat Crew, the Cullberg Ballet concluded the festival Urban connection 2013. The Swedish Radio Symphony Orchestra performed Earth Dances by Harrison Birtwistle while dancers from the Cullberg Ballet and Soul Sweat Crew improvised to the music.

Having listened to the music together, and danced various iterations and ideas prior to the event, the dancers from each company and musicians were able to meet under time sensitive circumstances and create a unique performance.
