Luca Seixas

Birthplace: São Paulo

Luca Seixas is a Brazilian dance artist from Campinas, São Paulo. His training includes multiple interests, from capoeira and contemporary dance, to classical ballet, circus techniques, and artistic gymnastics.

His early engagements took place in Rio de Janeiro in 2012, with Companhia Brasileira de Balé and the Deborah Colker Dance Company. He later joined the ensemble of the São Paulo Dance Company. In 2017 Luca became a member of the Gärtnerplatztheater in Munich, where he worked with choreographers such as Thomas Hauert, Ioannis Mandafounis, Marina Mascarell, and Iván Pérez, while also creating some of his own works.

As a freelancer, Luca collaborated with choreographers including Moritz Ostruschnjak, Hooman Sharifi, and Ralf Jaroschinski. Over 2024 and 2025, he was also a guest dancer at the Iceland Dance Company in Reykjavík, deepening his connection with the work of Erna Ómarsdóttir and Halla Ólafsdóttir.

As an independent choreographer, Luca has extensively collaborated with the Choreographic Centre of Heidelberg, where he created his first full-length evening piece, Incant (2024), and co-choreographed the video-dance work Astraland (2025) together with Sarah Fischer Luckow.

Luca joined Cullberg in 2025.
