Judith Coumans (she/her) is born in Arnhem, The Netherlands, in 2002. She was part of multiple performance productions in her home country, with companies like Introdans, De Dutch Don’t Dance Division and Toneelgroep Oostpool. After focusing mainly on house and hiphop for a year in Amsterdam, she joined the ArtEZ pre-education in Arnhem in 2019. Her main training became ballet and contemporary dance, and there she performed in work of choreographers such as Mauro Bigonzetti and Thomas van der Linden.

Judith started her bachelor of dance in 2020 at the Frankfurt University of Music and Performing Arts in Germany, where she worked with choreographers like Menghan Lou, Renan Martins and Anton Valdbauer. She worked on works from William Forsythe, Mats Ek and Iván Pérez, amongst others. Another red thread throughout her performative career has been singing, which has supported her as well in her dance performance. She has a big interest in exploring the interdisciplinary connection between different approaches to performance.
